POLICIES & RESPONSIBLE RESEARCH

Know the terms before you set sail.

Effective August 24, 2026. These terms govern website access, catalog use, research order requests, and accepted purchases.

01 · TERMS OF USE

Website and purchasing terms

By using this website, entering the catalog, or submitting an order request, you agree to these terms and represent that the information you provide is complete and accurate.

Permitted website use

You may use the website only for lawful business and scientific purposes. You may not access another purchaser’s information, interfere with site security, misuse private request credentials, or provide false purchaser or order information.

No medical information

Website content is not medical advice, treatment guidance, dosing guidance, administration guidance, or a recommendation for human or veterinary use. Product descriptions identify laboratory materials and research formats only.

Changes

Catalog information, prices, availability, documentation, shipping eligibility, review criteria, and these policies may change. The version accepted with an order request is recorded with that activity.

02 · PURCHASER ELIGIBILITY

Authorized research purchasing

The catalog is intended for adult purchasers seeking materials for bona fide in-vitro testing or research involving animals used only for laboratory research. Public catalog visibility is not an offer for a prohibited use and does not guarantee that a request will be accepted.

Purchaser acknowledgment

Before entering the catalog and again when submitting a request, the purchaser must acknowledge the permitted research context, the prohibition on human use, and the website and purchasing terms. The person submitting the request must be at least 18 and authorized to make the purchase.

Accurate information

Purchaser, organization, shipping, research-setting, and order information must be complete and accurate. A request may not be submitted on behalf of an undisclosed person or for an undisclosed prohibited purpose.

Review and eligibility

Black Sail may request additional information, review unusual order activity, restrict quantities, decline or cancel a request, or refuse future service. Questions involving personal use, dosing, reconstitution for administration, treatment, or other prohibited purposes may result in refusal.

03 · ORDERING

Order requests and acceptance

Submitting catalog selections creates an order request, not an accepted order and not a completed payment. Black Sail reviews the submitted purchaser and order information, material availability, applicable documentation, destination restrictions, shipping, tax, and the final total before accepting an order.

Price and availability

Catalog prices are the current material subtotal and exclude shipping, tax, and any separately disclosed charges. A listing does not guarantee availability. The accepted total and applicable lot information control if they differ from an earlier catalog display.

Payment

Payment instructions are provided only after an order request is accepted. Payment credentials are processed by the disclosed payment provider and are not stored in the Black Sail storefront.

Refusal and cancellation

Black Sail may decline or cancel a request because of eligibility, availability, destination, payment, suspected misuse, fraud, policy, or legal restrictions. If payment has already been collected for an order Black Sail cancels, the collected product amount will be returned using the applicable payment method, subject to provider processing times.

04 · PRIVACY

Information and records

Black Sail collects information needed to process research order requests, communicate with purchasers, prevent misuse and fraud, and maintain business and distribution records.

Information collected

This may include name, organization, email and phone, shipping address, stated research setting, purchaser acknowledgments, order selections, order status, shipment records, technical and security events, and support communications.

How information is used

Information is used for order review, fulfillment, customer support, fraud and security monitoring, recordkeeping, and compliance with applicable obligations. Black Sail does not request medical histories or personal health information through the order-request process.

Service providers

Information may be processed by hosting, security, database, payment, communications, shipping, verification, and fulfillment providers only as necessary to operate the service or comply with law.

Retention

Purchaser, order, batch, and shipment records may be retained for at least two years after the applicable shipment and longer when reasonably necessary for tax, accounting, dispute, fraud-prevention, contractual, or legal purposes. Information no longer reasonably required may be deleted or de-identified.

Browser storage and choices

The catalog stores the acknowledgment, cart, and a private order-status lookup token in the purchaser’s browser. Anyone with access to that browser profile may be able to view saved request status. Clearing site data removes the browser’s saved lookup information but does not delete Black Sail’s order record. No system can guarantee absolute security. To request access, correction, or deletion where applicable, use the contact information below; some records may be retained for legitimate business or legal purposes.

05 · SHIPPING

Shipping and delivery

Shipping methods, destination eligibility, charges, and any material-specific handling information are confirmed before an order is accepted. Black Sail may decline destinations that cannot be supported by the applicable carrier, fulfillment partner, product restrictions, or law.

Tracking is provided when supported by the carrier. Delivery dates are estimates and are not guarantees. The purchaser is responsible for providing a complete business delivery address and for promptly receiving and inspecting the shipment.

06 · RETURNS & ORDER ISSUES

Protecting material integrity

Because laboratory materials may be integrity-sensitive, opened, used, altered, improperly stored, or purchaser-compromised products are generally not eligible for return. Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot legally be waived.

If a shipment is damaged, incorrect, or missing an item, preserve the material, packaging, label, and shipping container and contact Black Sail promptly with the order reference and photographs. Do not discard the shipment until support provides instructions. Authorized returns must follow the instructions and destination supplied by Black Sail.

07 · RESEARCH-USE STANDARD

Laboratory investigation only

CAUTION: Contains a new drug for investigational use only in laboratory research animals, or for tests in vitro. Not for use in humans.

  • Materials are not offered for personal, household, therapeutic, diagnostic, cosmetic, food, supplement, or veterinary use.
  • Black Sail does not provide dosing, administration, injection, or personalized medical guidance.
  • Purchasers must maintain suitable facilities, training, approvals, handling procedures, and records for their work.
  • Laboratory-animal research must be conducted under all applicable institutional, ethical, and legal requirements.
  • Products may not be resold or transferred for prohibited use or to an undisclosed end user.
  • A research-use statement does not override facts showing a different intended use.
